Lead Engineering Technician

Akkodis is seeking a Lead Engineering Technician for a Contract job with a client in Clearwater, FL. You will perform dynamic, thermal, and functional testing of inertial electronics and maintain detailed test logs while supporting lab safety and equipment upkeep.

Rate Range: $30/hour to $33/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Lead Engineering Technician job responsibilities include:

• Perform hands-on dynamic, thermal, and functional testing of inertial and guidance electronics using general-purpose test equipment.

• Set up, program, and operate specialized test equipment to execute Acceptance Test Procedures.

• Maintain detailed and accurate test logs, follow test procedures precisely, and communicate shift updates both verbally and in writing.

• Assist in preparing and reviewing test documentation, work instructions, and procedures.

• Ensure lab safety, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate daily with engineers and technicians, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with general-purpose test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, DMM, power supply).

• Ability to follow detailed test procedures, maintain accurate logs, and communicate effectively in a team environment.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $33.00 per hour
