    Akkodis is seeking a Linux Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Plano, TX(Hybrid). Candidate must have expertise in managing and implementing Linux-based infrastructure, particularly for critical core components like databases, GRID computing, and enterprise job schedulers.

     

    Rate Range: $58/hour to $62/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Linux Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Managing and implementing end-to-end Linux-based infrastructure, supporting critical core components such as databases, GRID computing, enterprise job schedulers, and messaging platforms.

    • Monitoring application infrastructure, proactively addressing and resolving issues before they impact users.

    • Supporting release management, troubleshooting issues, and handling incident/problem management.

    • Assisting with migration projects related to servers, Active Directory, datacenters, and application upgrades.

    • Ensuring adherence to processes and maintaining operational efficiency in handling incidents and problem management.

    • Troubleshooting and identifying root cause prevention for production issues in a fast-paced environment.

    • Writing and maintaining scripts in Python, Shell, or Perl to support automation and operations.

    • Providing excellent communication and interpersonal skills while working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration and infrastructure management.

    • Experience in managing enterprise-level Linux environments and IT infrastructure.

    • Strong scripting knowledge in Python, Shell, or Perl for automation and troubleshooting tasks.

    Pay Details: $58.00 to $62.00 per hour
