Maintenance Tech / Roaming Tech

Akkodis is seeking a Maintenance Tech / Roaming Tech for a Contract-to-hire job with a client in Rockville, MD. In this role, primary responsibilities include supporting daily operations, performing maintenance repairs, and supervising subcontractors to ensure high standards across multiple sites.

 

Rate Range: $27/hour to $33/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Maintenance Tech / Roaming Tech job responsibilities include:

• Performing general maintenance and repair tasks across multiple sites to ensure facility standards.

• Communicating effectively with the team and clients to assess and address service needs.

• Supervising subcontractors on-site and coordinating service activities as needed.

• Managing reconfiguration tasks like adjusting walls, doors, ceilings, and lighting, as well as conducting painting and touch-up work.

• Performing plumbing repairs, including unclogging toilets, maintaining valve assemblies, and servicing sensors for automatic flush kits.

• Ensuring A/C and heating systems operate efficiently, handling temperature adjustments, filter changes, and coil cleaning.

• Conducting routine inspections, managing shipping and receiving functions, and supporting loading dock and mail delivery tasks.

• Monitoring the building automation system to maintain optimal equipment functionality and temperature control.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree preferred).

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance.

• Valid driver's license.

• Strong computer skills for managing building automation systems and effective client communication.

Pay Details: $27.00 to $33.00 per hour
