Mechanical Designer

    Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Designer for a Contract job with a client in Sunnyvale, CA(Hybrid). The ideal candidate will have advanced computer skills and a strong grasp of electrical currents and machinery, responsible for designing blueprints and prototypes.

     

    Rate Range: $70/hour to $75/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Mechanical designer job responsibilities include:

    • Creating detailed designs and blueprints for mechanical systems and components

    • Collaborating with engineers to ensure design functionality and feasibility

    • Performing stress and performance calculations to validate designs

    • Modifying existing designs based on testing and feedback

    • Assisting in the creation and testing of prototypes and final products

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field

    • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design

    • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)

    • Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems

    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

    Pay Details: $70.00 to $75.00 per hour
