    Akkodis is seeking a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Azure data services, along with relevant certifications (DP-600 or DP-203).

    Rate Range: $60.61/hour to $64.39/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

    Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Design and implement scalable data storage systems using Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

    • Develop and manage ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory to support data integration and transformation.

    • Build and maintain big data workflows using Apache Spark and other analytics tools to support machine learning and reporting.

    • Monitor and optimize data pipelines and database performance, ensuring data accuracy and processing efficiency.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support architectural migration, document engineering processes, and integrate new data sources.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

    • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with 5+ years focused on Azure data and analytics platforms.

    • Expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Lake.

    • Proficiency in Python/PySpark, SQL, and data modeling concepts; experience with cloud-based data migration.

    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps tools, and platforms like Jira, Confluence, and SAFe.

    Pay Details: $60.61 to $64.39 per hour
