Akkodis is seeking a Network Engineer for a contract with a client in Boston, MA. The candidate will lead network upgrades and troubleshoot complex performance and security issues across enterprise environments.
Rate Range: $41/hour to 60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Network Engineer job responsibilities include:
Design and implement secure, scalable network solutions that align with business and technical requirements.
Plan and execute network upgrades and optimizations, ensuring minimal disruption and future readiness.
Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving performance and connectivity issues.
Manage network security systems, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to support new applications, services, and cloud-based networking solutions.
Document network architecture and procedures, maintaining up-to-date diagrams, SOPs, and compliance records.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on complex enterprise environments.
Advanced certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent is highly desirable.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing secure, scalable network solutions using technologies from Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $60.00 per hour
