    Akkodis is seeking a Network Engineer for a contract with a client in Boston, MA. The candidate will lead network upgrades and troubleshoot complex performance and security issues across enterprise environments.

    Rate Range: $41/hour to 60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Network Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Design and implement secure, scalable network solutions that align with business and technical requirements.

    • Plan and execute network upgrades and optimizations, ensuring minimal disruption and future readiness.

    • Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving performance and connectivity issues.

    • Manage network security systems, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and conduct regular audits and risk assessments.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to support new applications, services, and cloud-based networking solutions.

    • Document network architecture and procedures, maintaining up-to-date diagrams, SOPs, and compliance records.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on complex enterprise environments.

    • Advanced certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent is highly desirable.

    • Proven expertise in designing and implementing secure, scalable network solutions using technologies from Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

    Pay Details: $41.00 to $60.00 per hour
