Akkodis is seeking a Nuclear Project Engineering Manager for a Direct Hire with a client in Kansas City/Overland Park, KS/ Ann Arbor, MI/ Chattanooga, TN/ Cary/Raleigh, NC/ Ontario, Canada/ DC Metro. The ideal candidate will lead complex engineering projects by applying advanced technical expertise while supervising project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Salary Range: $180K/Yearly to $190K/Yearly; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Nuclear Project Engineering Manager job responsibilities include:

  • Lead and supervise engineering teams while applying advanced engineering techniques to solve complex, unique technical challenges.

  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, technical deliverables, and overall team performance for medium‑ to high‑complexity projects.

  • Interface directly with clients on all technical aspects of the project, including managing scope changes and contract-related modifications.

  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, design guides, and quality programs while providing technical guidance and mentorship to staff.

  • Coordinate with cross‑functional internal and external teams to support project execution, business development, and proposal efforts.

  • Advance technical expertise through participation in professional societies, mentoring, knowledge-sharing, and contributing to industry standards.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program (professional licensure preferred or in active pursuit).

  • Minimum of 11 years of related engineering experience, preferably with 10+ years in the nuclear industry.

  • Must meet all eligibility, requirements under 10 CFR 810 to support the global nuclear program.

  • Ability to successfully complete all pre‑employment checks, including background screening, drug testing, and motor vehicle records review.
