Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a highly experienced Program Manager for a Contract position with a client in Wilmington, DE (Remote). The ideal candidate is a high‑caliber program leader with strong executive communication skills and proven experience driving accountability across large, cross‑functional teams.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $64/hour on W2; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Program Manager job responsibilities include:

  • Lead large‑scale programs spanning multiple interdependent infrastructure technology upgrades.

  • Manage and coordinate multiple Project Managers across concurrent workstreams.

  • Validate and align business requirements with technical delivery plans.

  • Analyze current‑state environments and assess dependencies to successfully transition to future‑state solutions.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive Program Management plans, including:

    • Program schedules, sequencing, dependencies, timelines, and staffing plans

    • Cost management and budget tracking

    • Risk management plans, contingency strategies, and escalation paths

    • Change management and communication plans

  • Provide executive‑level program status reporting for assigned programs.

  • Facilitate working groups and steering committee meetings.

  • Lead and support Project Managers in detailed planning and execution.

  • Drive progress and accountability across implementation teams without direct authority.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading enterprise IT infrastructure programs in a Program Manager leadership role.

  • Strong experience managing multi‑technology infrastructure upgrades.

  • Ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments with tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution and accountability across large, matrixed teams without direct reporting authority.

  • Strong experience in portfolio prioritization, dependency management, risk and issue management.

  • Experience coordinating large teams of technical and non‑technical consultants.

  • Ability to deliver across multiple verticals and technology vendor solutions.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English with business‑level proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, PgMP, or similar project/program management certification preferred but not required with equivalent experience.

  • Banking or financial services infrastructure program experience preferred.

  • Program & portfolio management

  • Cross‑functional team coordination

  • Infrastructure transformation leadership

Pay Details: $60.00 to $64.00 per hour
