Quality Manager

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Manager for a contract with a client in Muncie, IN. Responsibilities include conducting supplier evaluations and audits and managing tool development and part validation through all trial phases.

Rate Range: $41/hour to 49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Quality Manager job responsibilities include:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

• Lead supplier quality initiatives, including audits, evaluations, and performance improvement plans.

• Oversee APQP processes, including risk assessments, design reviews, and tool development tracking.

• Ensure product validation and testing, including fitment checks, ECN/FETE implementation, and PSW sign-off.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and supplier operations to enhance quality and delivery performance.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage final development handovers, ensuring smooth SOP and ramp-up phases.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred).

• 8–10 years of experience in quality management, supplier development, and manufacturing environments.

• Strong exposure to heavy engineering products, including forging, casting, machining, and sheet metal fabrication.

• Proven ability to lead APQP implementation, supplier audits, and manage tool development and validation processes.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $49.00 per hour
