Scrum Master

Akkodis is seeking a Scrum Master for a Contract with a client in Raritan, NJ. The ideal candidate has expertise with GxP and Life Sciences experience to facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach teams, manage risks, and ensure on-time delivery through continuous improvement and stakeholder collaboration.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Scrum Master Job Responsibilities include:

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives) to ensure effective, time‑boxed Agile execution.

• Serve as servant leader and coach for the Agile team and ART, promoting Agile best practices and continuous improvement.

• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to manage the product backlog, refine user stories, and support prioritization and capacity planning.

• Track and report team performance metrics (velocity, burndown charts) to ensure transparency and drive data‑based improvements.

• Identify, anticipate, and proactively resolve risks, dependencies, and impediments impacting delivery, especially within GxP‑compliant environments.

• Align Agile practices with customer ways of working, including validated systems, and collaborating with other Scrum Masters across teams.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.

• 8–10 years of experience in Agile project delivery with strong hands-on Scrum Master experience.

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in GxP‑regulated environments, preferably within Life Sciences or CPG industries.

• Strong expertise in Agile frameworks and tools (Scrum, SAFe, Jira, Confluence) with the ability to coach teams, manage stakeholders, and adapt Agile practices to validated systems.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $60.00 per hour
