    Akkodis is seeking a Senior AI/ML Data Scientist for a Contract job with a client in Woodlawn, MD. You will be responsible for developing and deploying scalable NLP/LLM models and building automated data pipelines to solve real-world analytical challenges.

    Rate Range: $80/hour to $86/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Senior AI/ML Data Scientist job responsibilities include:

    • Design, develop, and deploy NLP and Generative AI models, including Large Language Models (LLMs), to solve complex real-world problems.

    • Build scalable data pipelines and machine learning workflows using Python and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Apache Spark.

    • Train, fine-tune, and optimize NLP/LLM models, ensuring high performance and relevance to business needs.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data gaps, define analytic problems, and deliver actionable insights.

    • Ensure model reliability and scalability through MLOps/LLMOps practices and continuous evaluation.

    • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).

    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on NLP and AI/ML.

    • Hands-on expertise in developing and deploying NLP and Generative AI models, including LLMs.

    • Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and experience with MLOps/LLMOps practices.

    Pay Details: $80.00 to $86.00 per hour
