Senior Electrical Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a Contract with a client in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate with experience supporting the design, construction, testing, and evaluation of prototype printed circuit boards, tools, and fixtures to enable product development and verification activities.

Rate Range: $65/hour to $70/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Electrical Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Layout, assemble, and develop prototype printed circuit boards (PCBs), fixtures, and engineering tools to support product development and testing activities.

• Perform troubleshooting, fault isolation, and diagnostic testing on electronic circuits, breadboards, hybrids, and prototype assemblies.

• Conduct design verification testing, measurements, evaluations, and feasibility studies while documenting results and preparing engineering test reports.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, mechanical layouts, and tool release packages to support document control requirements.

• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams to support product development, process improvements, and technical problem resolution.

• compliance with FDA regulations, quality standards, company procedures, and engineering best practices while supporting continuous improvement and product development initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.

• 7+ years of experience in prototype PCB development, electronic testing, tool/fixture design, and engineering support within a regulated manufacturing environment.

• Strong hands-on experience in PCB layout, prototype construction, troubleshooting, fault isolation, design verification testing, and schematic interpretation.

• Experience supporting medical device product development and FDA-regulated environments, including technical documentation, engineering test reporting, and compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Pay Details: $65.00 to $70.00 per hour
