    Akkodis is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a Contract job with a client in Tysons, VA. Responsibilities include developing high-performance applications for trade analytics and providing production support to resolve critical issues efficiently.

    Rate Range: $70/hour to $76/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Senior Java Developer job responsibilities include:

    • Design and develop enterprise-level applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and modern front-end technologies like Angular and TypeScript.

    • Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions for trade analytics, reporting, and reconciliation.

    • Lead application development and prototyping efforts, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability of code.

    • Manage code deployment and integration pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes to ensure system stability.

    • Write and execute unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito to ensure high-quality software delivery.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • 7–10 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development.

    • Proven expertise in developing and deploying applications using Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes.

    • Strong experience in relational databases (e.g., Sybase, SQL Server) and proficiency in front-end technologies like Angular and TypeScript.

    Pay Details: $70.00 to $76.00 per hour
