    Akkodis is seeking a Senior React/Node.js Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience in front-end and full-stack development, with deep expertise in React.js, Node.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks.

    Pay Range: $53.03/hour to $68.18/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

    Senior React/Node.js Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Develop and maintain scalable UI applications using React 16+ and TypeScript.

    • Implement state management using Redux or MobX.

    • Build backend services using Node.js and integrate with REST APIs.

    • Apply front-end optimization techniques such as lazy loading, asynchronous modules, and image compression.

    • Ensure secure API connections and follow best practices for UI-to-API integrations.

    • Architect and implement responsive and mobile-first designs using CSS3 and grid layouts.

    • Work with cloud micro-app development and application monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Splunk.

    • Write unit tests using Jest and maintain code quality with Sonarqube or similar tools.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions in complex systems.

    Required Skills:

    • 6–8+ years of experience with React.js and its core principles.

    • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), DOM manipulation, and object model.

    • Experience with React workflows (Flux, Redux) and libraries like Immutable.js.

    • Hands-on experience with Node.js, Yarn/NPM, and REST API implementations.

    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP or Azure), microservices, and distributed system design.

    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git, Bitbucket).

    • Knowledge of Hooks, Suspense, and functional programming in React.

    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

    • 8–10 years of professional experience in software development.

    Pay Details: $53.03 to $68.18 per hour
