    Akkodis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid). The role involves leading backend development tasks, collaborating with stakeholders, and maintaining high-quality software solutions, while working with tools like Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Spring Boot to support agile development processes.

     

    Rate Range: $48/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Senior Software Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Designing, developing, and maintaining Web APIs and backend logic using Java 17, including batch jobs and Kafka processors.

    • Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to develop and deliver high-quality software solutions.

    • Utilizing Kubernetes/Openshift for container orchestration and managing cloud-based applications.

    • Applying knowledge of microservices architecture, Spring Boot, and web services (SOAP & REST) in system design and implementation.

    • Proficiently using CI/CD DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy/Harness to enable continuous integration and deployment.

    • Conducting unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to resolve issues and improve application performance.

    • Leading and mentoring junior team members while ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

    • Participating in Agile processes and collaborating in a Scrum environment with the development team and business stakeholders.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • 5+ years of experience in Java development, including backend and API design.

    • Strong experience with Spring Boot, Java 8/17, J2EE, and microservices architecture.

    • Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Kubernetes/Openshift and proficiency in CI/CD tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and Urban Code Deploy.

    Pay Details: $48.00 to $50.00 per hour
