    Akkodis is seeking a Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer for a contract job with a client in Mason, OH. You will support complex mechanical design and layout planning while ensuring equipment selection aligns with project specifications.

    Rate Range: $38/hour to 40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Lead mechanical design efforts for medium to high-complexity projects, including equipment layout, selection, and bill of materials preparation.

    • Develop and review 2D/3D CAD models and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

    • Support on-site commissioning activities, ensuring proper equipment distribution and process flow within facilities.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to provide technical input, resolve issues, and support project reviews.

    • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying design and process enhancements and sharing lessons learned.

    • Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.

    • Minimum of 8 years of industrial experience in mechanical design and engineering.

    • Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD tools and experience with mechanical layout and equipment selection.

    • Hands-on experience supporting site commissioning and ensuring equipment distribution aligns with process flow.

    Pay Details: $38.00 to $40.00 per hour
