Sr Engineering Technician

Akkodis is seeking a Sr Engineering Technician for a Contract with a client in Broomfield, CO. The ideal candidate will support the assembly, testing, and maintenance of prototype laboratory systems while ensuring safe and efficient operation of equipment and processes.

Rate Range: $38/Hour to $40/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr Engineering Technician Responsibilities include:

• Independently perform electrical and mechanical assembly of prototype systems and laboratory test setups.

• Configure and maintain vacuum and gas-handling systems using CF, KF, NPT, and VCR fittings.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vacuum pumps, compressors, and related equipment.

• Wire assemblies, create test cables, and operate laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and vacuum gauges.

• Support engineers and scientists in executing project milestones, testing activities, and technical documentation.

• Maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment through equipment upkeep, process documentation, and 5S practices.

 

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or related certification preferred.

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in laboratory, R&D, mechanical, electrical, or vacuum system environments.

• Experience configuring and troubleshooting vacuum and gas-handling systems using CF, KF, NPT, and VCR fittings.

• Proficiency with wiring assemblies, creating test cables, and using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, vacuum pumps, and gauges.

Pay Details: $38.00 to $40.00 per hour
