Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team in Orlando, Florida. This is a direct hire position offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing geotechnical engineering projects, providing technical expertise, and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and execute geotechnical investigations, including field exploration, laboratory testing, and engineering analyses.
Prepare and review geotechnical engineering reports, calculations, and recommendations for a variety of projects, such as commercial developments, transportation infrastructure, and residential structures.
Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop innovative and cost-effective geotechnical solutions.
Oversee and manage construction-phase geotechnical services, including inspections and quality assurance testing.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Support business development activities by building client relationships and assisting with proposals.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license required or EIT
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, LPILE, PLAXIS, or similar).
Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and slope stability.
Soft Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management and organizational abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
