    Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a contract with a client in New York, NY(Remote). You will be responsible for deploying updates across instances and maintaining integrations with tools like Jira and GitLab, while ensuring 24/7 operational support.

    Rate Range: $53/hour to 56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    System Administrator job responsibilities include:

    • Install, configure, and maintain servers and system software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

    • Monitor system health and performance, troubleshooting issues and applying patches or updates as needed.

    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to maintain system security and compliance.

    • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect critical data and systems.

    • Ensure network and system security through firewalls, antivirus tools, and regular audits.

    • Collaborate with IT teams and end-users to support system-related needs and improve infrastructure efficiency.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • 4–6 years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure support.

    • Proficiency in managing Windows and/or Linux server environments, including patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

    • Experience with automation tools, scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash), and backup/recovery solutions.

    Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
