Technical Architect

Akkodis is seeking a Technical Architect for a Contract with a client in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will design and implement advanced control systems for automated manufacturing equipment, leveraging strong expertise in PLCs, HMIs, and motion control.

Rate Range: $43/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technical Architect job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and implement control systems for automated manufacturing equipment including PLCs, HMIs, and motion control platforms.

• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, downtime, and quality problems to improve system reliability, safety, and efficiency.

• Ensure all automation and control systems meet FDA, ISO, and GMP regulatory requirements for medical device operations.

• Create, update, and maintain technical documentation while supporting equipment validation and adhering to change control processes.

• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and lead initiatives to implement new technologies that enhance manufacturing performance.

• Support commissioning, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects while providing technical guidance and training to maintenance teams.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 6–8 years of experience in automation, controls engineering, or manufacturing equipment support.

• Strong background in PLC programming, HMI development, and motion control systems (per client requirements).

• Experience working within FDA, ISO, and GMP–regulated medical‑device manufacturing environments.

Pay Details: $43.00 to $47.00 per hour
