Technical Support Specialist

Akkodis is seeking a Technical Support Specialist for a contract with a client in San Jose, CA. This role serves as the primary Tier 1 support contact, responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a mixed IT environment.

Rate Range: $55/hour to 60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Technical Support Specialist job responsibilities include:

• Serve as the primary Tier 1 support contact, addressing hardware, software, and network issues in a mixed IT environment.

• Troubleshoot and maintain end-user systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.

• Support Active Directory tasks, such as account unlocks, password resets, and system additions.

• Administer and troubleshoot ZOOM VOIP phone systems, including extension programming and service deployment.

• Provision and deploy workstations using imaging tools like Acronis, while ensuring compliance with IT Asset Management policies.

• Participate in daily huddles and Lean/Six Sigma activities, contributing to continuous improvement and user satisfaction.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in end-user hardware deployment and 2 years in network troubleshooting within a corporate WAN environment.

• A+ Certification and strong knowledge of PC architecture and automated provisioning tools (e.g., Ivanti EPM, MS USMT).

• Hands-on experience with ZOOM VOIP system administration and Active Directory support.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
