    Akkodis is seeking a Technical Writer for a Contract job with a client in Cupertino, CA(Hybrid). Responsibilities include collaborating with data scientists and engineers to create user-friendly how-to guides and system documentation, and ensuring accuracy by running lightweight Python, SQL, or bash code.

     

    Rate Range: $45/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Technical Writer job responsibilities include:

    • Creating clear, well-structured documentation, how-to guides, and tutorials for both technical and non-technical users.

    • Collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to translate complex concepts into user-friendly content.

    • Maintaining and improving existing documentation, organizing it within platforms like Confluence and GitHub.

    • Running lightweight Python, SQL, and bash scripts to verify the technical accuracy of documentation.

    • Support the development of internal documentation standards and contribute to documentation system improvements.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in English, Computer Science, Technical Writing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

    • 3–5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a data science or engineering environment.

    • Proficiency with Markdown, JSON, YAML, and documentation tools like Confluence and GitHub.

    • Ability to collaborate with technical teams and verify content accuracy using basic Python, SQL, and bash scripts.

    Pay Details: $45.00 to $47.00 per hour
