Technology Support Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Technology Support Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environments, with strong expertise in incident resolution, system support, integrations, and enterprise application management.

Rate Range: $65/hour to $73/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technology Support Engineer Job Responsibilities Include:

• Provide advanced technical support for Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environments by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents, service requests, and production issues.

• Create, implement, and manage Requests for Change (RFCs) while ensuring compliance with established change management and support processes.

• Analyze recurring system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions that improve application stability and performance.

• Collaborate with vendors, support teams, and business stakeholders to investigate complex technical challenges and drive issue resolution activities.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance knowledge base articles, troubleshooting documentation, and operational procedures to support effective service delivery.

• Monitor system health and proactively identify risks, performance concerns, and improvement opportunities to prevent service disruptions and improve operational efficiency.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• A minimum of seven to ten years of experience supporting Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications within enterprise environments.

• Strong technical expertise in Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, including application support, troubleshooting, system administration, and operational maintenance activities.

• Demonstrated experience managing incidents, problem resolution, root cause analysis, and change management processes within business-critical application environments.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne SOA Integration and related enterprise integration technologies.

• Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices, including incident management, problem management, change management, and knowledge management processes.

• Experience leading operational improvement initiatives and implementing best practices that enhance support team effectiveness and system reliability.

• Familiarity with enterprise application architectures, integrations, middleware technologies, and business process automation solutions.

• Experience mentoring junior team members and providing technical leadership within support and operations organizations.

Pay Details: $65.00 to $73.00 per hour
