Unit design Validation and RF Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Unit design Validation and RF Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate is responsible for unit-level validation and testing of 5G NR RF products, ensuring compliance with 3GPP standards and performance requirements.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $41/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Unit design Validation and RF Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Perform unit-level design validation and testing of 5G NR RF products to ensure compliance with functional and performance requirements.

• Validate RF subsystems against 3GPP standards, including analysis of key radio interfaces and protocol behaviors.

• Execute RF measurements, data collection, and test result analysis using MATLAB and Python-based tools.

• Support debugging and root-cause analysis of RF performance issues identified during unit testing and validation cycles.

• Collaborate with design, system, and integration teams to support design reviews, test readiness, and issue resolution.

• Document validation results, test procedures, and improvement recommendations to support design maturity and release readiness.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or physics with a focus on RF/Microwave technologies.

• 6–8 years of professional experience in RF design, validation, or unit-level testing.

• Hands-on experience in unit-level validation and testing of 5G NR RF products with strong understanding of 3GPP radio interfaces and architectures.

• Proficiency in analytical and validation tools including MATLAB and Python, with exposure to RF simulation tools such as ADS, CST, or HFSS.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $41.00 per hour
