Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a contract with a client in Seattle, WA(Remote). Responsibilities include collaborating with electric utilities and ISOs to design and deliver power systems software and performing integration and tuning across Linux and Windows platforms.
Rate Range: $49/hour to 53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Engineer job responsibilities include:
Develop and deliver advanced Power Systems Application software to meet project and product commitments for electric utilities and grid operators.
Customize and implement Energy Management Systems (EMS), particularly GE’s AEMS Reliance, based on client specifications.
Collaborate with ISOs and TSOs to define functional software requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Design, code, test, and integrate software modules using C, Java, and Oracle technologies across Linux and Windows platforms.
Perform system tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting in real-time mission-critical environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Support live customer systems by installing patches, applying fixes, and maintaining third-party software like Oracle and NetApp.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
8 to 10 years of experience in power systems software development and EMS customization.
Strong hands-on experience with GE’s AEMS Reliance, including source design and delivery.
Proven ability to work with electric utilities, ISOs, and TSOs on real-time mission-critical systems.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $53.00 per hour
