We are currently looking for a Senior Performance Test Engineer to join an international banking project for a leading Swiss wealth management group.

ߑĠAbout the role

We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer to join the Performance Test Services team, supporting internal clients in the implementation of performance testing and synthetic monitoring solutions.

You will act as a technical expert and trusted advisor, helping ensure that applications and services meet the required standards for performance, scalability, stability and availability.

Working closely with development teams, architects, Product Owners and Operations specialists, you will design, implement, execute and analyse performance tests and synthetic monitoring solutions.

ߎϠKey responsibilities

ߔ٠Design, develop and execute performance and load tests for business-critical applications and services.

ߔ٠Design, implement and maintain synthetic monitoring solutions to proactively assess application availability and user experience.

ߔ٠Analyse test results and create clear, actionable reports, providing performance insights and optimization recommendations.

ߔ٠Review performance testing and monitoring code written in Java, JavaScript and TypeScript.

ߔ٠Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, helping define performance testing and monitoring strategies.

ߔ٠Identify and analyse performance bottlenecks across applications, APIs, infrastructure and integrations.

ߔ٠Provide recommendations to improve application performance, scalability and resilience.

ߔ٠Contribute to the continuous improvement of test environments, automation frameworks, methodologies and best practices.

ߔ٠Ensure the delivery of stable, maintainable and high-quality test solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.

ߑĠWhat are we looking for?

✔ Several years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing, Test Automation, Performance Engineering or Software Engineering.

✔ Proven experience designing and executing performance and load tests in complex enterprise environments.

✔ Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

✔ Hands-on experience with Playwright and Grafana k6 for performance testing and synthetic monitoring.

✔ Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab or similar platforms.

✔ Solid understanding of system architectures, APIs, networking, cloud-native applications and performance engineering principles.

✔ Ability to communicate technical findings, risks and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

✔ Experience with Azure and Kubernetes or other cloud and container platforms.

✔ Fluent English and strong communication and collaboration skills.

 
⭐ Technical skills

ߔ٠Playwright – Java / TypeScript.

ߔ٠Grafana k6 – JavaScript.

ߔ٠CI/CD – Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab or comparable tools.

ߔ٠Performance testing methodologies, metrics and monitoring practices.

ߔ٠Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace or comparable observability platforms.

ߔ٠Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing and end-to-end performance analysis is a plus.

ߔ٠Experience with Exense Step is considered an advantage.

 
ߏƠPrevious experience in banking, financial services or other enterprise-scale environments will be highly valued.

 
ߎӠEducation

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable technical discipline is preferred.
