Senior ServiceNow Developer - Discovery and Integrations
Location-Remote, PST hours, Occasional client visit for meetings
Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development and administration. Extensive experience in configuring and customizing ServiceNow applications, with a focus on ITOM and Discovery. Proven track record of managing and delivering complex ServiceNow projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
Expertise in ServiceNow Modules In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow ITOM, including Event Management, Orchestration, and Operational Intelligence. Comprehensive experience with ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB health, and remediation rules. Proficiency in ITSM and other ServiceNow modules, with a strong understanding of their integration with ITOM.
Technical Skills Advanced Development Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and other web development technologies essential for ServiceNow customization. Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, including data model, security, and access control mechanisms. Integration Expertise: Extensive experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, and other integration technologies. Ability to design and implement complex integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems. ServiceNow Discovery and ITOM: Expertise in configuring and optimizing ServiceNow Discovery. Familiarity with the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) and its role in maintaining CMDB data integrity. Experience in implementing and managing CMDB health dashboards, remediation workflows, and automating IT operations using ServiceNow ITOM. Strong competence in engaging with clients and end users to understand their business needs, technical requirements, and pain points. Proven ability to translate client requirements into technical specifications and deliver solutions that meet their objectives. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, service management, and development teams.
Soft Skills Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions in complex environments. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse teams.
Certifications ServiceNow Certified Application Developer. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator. Additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ITOM, ITSM, Discovery) are highly desirable.
