Intermediate- Systems Testing/QA Specialist

The Ontario Government Client is seeking a System Testing Specialist with strong skills in system and user acceptance testing, Agile Sprint development, and automated testing tools (Selenium or equivalent).

 Duration: 6+ Months

Must Haves:

• Expertise in system testing methodologies and execution.

• 5+ years of experience in Agile/Sprint development.

• Proficiency in creating and managing test data.

• Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium or equivalent).

Role Summary

• Analyze business requirements, develop test plans, and execute system and user acceptance tests.

• Create automated test scripts, verify results, and document findings.

• Use SQL to review test databases; log and track issues in an automated problem management system.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager on test outcomes and system readiness.

• Report on progress weekly and assist in skill transfer to OPS staff.

Skills and Experience

• Testing: Recent experience in systems testing, solid knowledge of methodologies, and ability to verify expected results.

• Agile Methodology: 5+ years in Sprint development, detailed test planning, and troubleshooting skills.

• Communication: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills, with experience engaging stakeholders.

• Automation: Skilled in automated scripting using Selenium or equivalent tools.

• Assignment
  Hybrid role; in-office and remote work as directed by the Hiring Manager.
