The Ontario Government Client seeks a seasoned Technology Architect to develop, recommend, implement, and manage technical architecture (hardware, software, database, and communications) for large, distributed cross-platform environments. Key responsibilities include:
Duration:6+ Months
Must Haves:
10 years of experience as a Technology Architect.
Subject Matter Expert in all facets of Encryption related to Public Safety (recent experience required).
Experience with IT infrastructure modernization and maintenance-focused projects.
Extensive experience with IP Networks, Telephony, and Satellite systems.
General Skills
Leadership in developing and implementing technical architectures.
Expertise in at least three platforms, operating systems, environments, database technologies, and communication protocols.
Proficiency with middleware, gateways, and ITIL-based processes.
Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and reporting needs.
Hands-on experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Awareness of emerging technologies and trends.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills.
Team player with a track record of meeting deadlines.
Desirable Skills
Familiarity with Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes and deliverables.
Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management (e.g., Open Text ECM applications).
Understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
Skills and Experience Requirements
Extensive knowledge of P25 radio technology (minimum eight years), preferably in a Motorola environment.
At least five years in a supervisory role managing/administering a P25 radio network.
Hands-on experience with voice and data encryption tools such as KMF, KMF Workstation, and KVL.
Proficiency with Motorola tools (ZoneWatch, Provisioning Manager, Unified Event Manager).
Proven project management skills and organizational abilities.
Strong interpersonal and people management skills.
Capability to produce clear, fact-based recommendations and proposals.
Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to organize, delegate, and review team deliverables effectively.
Experience maintaining productive working relationships.
Eligibility for OPP Level 4 Security Clearance.
