Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking a motivated Junior Software Developer with strong front-end and full-stack development capabilities to support modern web application development initiatives. The successful consultant will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining responsive applications using modern frameworks such as React, Node.js, and Next.js, while following Agile delivery practices and DevOps principles.

Scope

• Design and develop responsive, user-friendly web applications

• Build and test RESTful APIs and front-end features

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the SDLC

• Implement modern web development practices including Jamstack architecture.

Assignment Deliverables

• Front-end application components and UI features

• RESTful API integrations and backend services

• Test cases, unit testing, and debugging outputs

• Technical and solution documentation.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• Experience with Agile methodologies

• Experience with React and TypeScript

• Experience with Node.js and Next.js

• Experience building and testing RESTful APIs

• Working knowledge of Jamstack architecture.

Nice to Have:

• Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions

• Experience providing post-implementation support

• Understanding of Information Management principles and policies.
