Junior Systems Testing/QA Specialist

We are seeking a QA Specialist for our Ontario Government Client, responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of large, complex business-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in executing and coordinating testing activities, data reconciliation, and working with test plans. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, assisting with the testing process and using advanced testing tools. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Must Haves:

• 2-5 years of experience with large, complex systems

• Proficiency in testing tools (Jira, Bugzilla, Microfocus)

• Familiarity with web-based 3-tier platforms

• Effective team coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills

QA Skills

• Assist with test planning, test cases, and results for complex systems.

• Execute test cases for large systems, following detailed test plans.

• Experience in data analysis, cleansing, and conversion.

• Assist with Accessibility testing per AODA standards.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of workflow, portfolio management, and rule-driven solutions.

• Proficiency with testing tools like Jira and Bugzilla.

• Familiar with Oracle database tools and web-based application development.

• Experience with Accessibility testing tools like WAVES and JAWS.

General Skills

• Strong coordination across cross-functional teams.

• Effective verbal and written communication.

• Analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Public Sector Experience

• Experience working in or with public sector organizations.
