Senior Business Analyst

 We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team, focusing on public sector healthcare projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business and data analysis, data governance, and a strong background in IT, particularly within the public sector. This role requires a deep understanding of public sector standards, healthcare regulations, and proven leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams.

Public Sector Experience

• Extensive experience working with federal, provincial, or broader public-sector healthcare providers.

• Knowledge of Public Sector Enterprise Architecture artifacts, processes, and practices, with the ability to produce technical documentation that complies with industry standards.

• In-depth understanding of Project Management Institute (PMI) and public sector I&IT project management methodologies.

• Experience with public sector health-related projects and familiarity with Ministry policy and IT project approval processes.

• Proven experience adhering to Public Sector Unified I&IT Project Methodology, Enterprise Architecture, Gating processes, and Standard Systems Development Methodologies.

• Expertise in managing large, complex IT health-related projects within the public sector.

IT Knowledge and Experience

• Extensive experience with relational database technologies, including MS SQL 2016 and later, data modeling, T-SQL, tables, and views.

• Strong knowledge of emerging IT trends and technologies, with a demonstrated ability to apply these insights to business analysis and IT projects.

• Proficiency in using Azure DevOps and issue tracking systems.

• Advanced skills in MS Office products, particularly in data-driven applications.

Core Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience in leading and conducting business analysis across various levels, assessing business problems and opportunities, and documenting requirements to determine appropriate technology solutions.

• Proficient in business and data analysis, particularly in scenarios involving multiple businesses, systems, and domains from an enterprise or holistic perspective.

• Skilled in analyzing and resolving data issues, providing queries and scripts to support debugging efforts.

• Experience in providing comprehensive I&IT business analysis services, including the development and maintenance of business relationships and advising on business development and improvement options.

• Proficient in conducting business analysis throughout all project life cycle phases, from initial technical requirements and business modeling to continuous refinement and governance.

• Experienced in leading subject matter experts and stakeholder working groups to assess and address business problems, defects, and enhancements.

• Strong ability to document business and data governance requirements clearly and concisely, enabling the determination of technology solutions.

Data Governance / Management Experience

• In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA or COBIT.

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining materials to support the implementation of data governance frameworks, ideally at an organizational or enterprise level.

• Experience contributing to the development of data governance implementation roadmaps.

• Skilled in implementing and documenting business processes to support data transformation projects.

• Experience in managing change in data analytics practices, particularly at an organizational or enterprise level.

• Expertise in coordinating activities that advance data governance best practices.
