About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to support enterprise data analytics, business intelligence, geospatial analysis, data modernization, and information management initiatives within a complex public sector environment.

The successful consultant will leverage advanced analytics, statistical modelling, machine learning, business intelligence, and geospatial technologies to generate actionable insights that support strategic planning, compliance monitoring, operational improvements, and evidence-based decision-making. The role requires expertise in data governance, information management, predictive analytics, data integration, visualization, and modernization of complex data environments.

Scope

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities.

• Develop predictive models, analytical frameworks, and business intelligence solutions.

• Perform geospatial analysis and spatial data management activities.

• Support data modernization, digitization, migration, and information management initiatives.

• Design and develop dashboards, reports, visualizations, maps, and analytical products.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics, including relational databases, geospatial analysis, spatial data management, data visualization, and analytical frameworks supporting business decision-making.

• Demonstrated proficiency with analytics and visualization platforms including Power BI, Tableau, R Shiny, ArcGIS, or equivalent tools.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze, integrate, and interpret both spatial and non-spatial datasets.

• Demonstrated experience developing and applying predictive models, analytical frameworks, business intelligence solutions, and geospatial analysis techniques.

• Strong proficiency with SQL for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and reporting.

• Strong experience using Python, R, or equivalent technologies for analytics, modelling, automation, and data transformation.

Nice to Have:

• IBM Data Science Professional Certificate or equivalent industry certification.

• Google Professional Data Engineer certification or equivalent.
