About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to support a large-scale Oracle database modernization and cloud migration initiative. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, administration, optimization, migration, monitoring, security, and support of complex Oracle database environments supporting mission-critical enterprise applications.

This engagement will play a key role in the APEX/ORDS Evergreening Initiative, focused on upgrading end-of-life Oracle database technologies and supporting the migration of business-critical systems to modern, secure, and compliant cloud and on-premises environments.

Scope

• Create and implement physical database designs.

• Administer and manage Oracle database environments.

• Perform database optimization, capacity planning, installations, upgrades, migrations, backup and recovery activities.

• Maintain and support Oracle 10g, 11g, 12c, 19c, and 23c databases.

Assignment Deliverables

• Oracle database administration, maintenance, optimization, and monitoring services.

• Database migration plans and implementations.

• Oracle 19c+ migration and modernization deliverables.

• Database security and auditing implementations.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• 10+ years hands on experience

• Experience with database optimization, capacity planning, installation and migration, database design, performance tuning, backup and recovery.

• Experience maintaining and monitoring a number of Oracle 10g,11g,12c,19c databases in large multi-tenant environments

• Experience migrating from end of life Oracle database to latest supported version in on-premise and cloud data centers.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Oracle Data Warehouse technologies and Oracle OBIEE.

• Experience designing and developing automated data distribution mechanisms.

• Experience with middleware technologies and gateways.
