About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Software Developer to support the development and enhancement of large-scale digital applications. The successful consultant will lead front-end development activities, ensuring solutions are secure, accessible, scalable, and aligned with modern web and accessibility standards.

Scope

• Design, develop, and maintain Single Page Applications (SPA) using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Stencil.js)

• Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs (JSON/XML)

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and user-centric solutions

• Ensure compliance with accessibility (WCAG 2.x AA, AODA) and security standards (OIDC, PKCE)

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and integration issues.

Assignment Deliverables

• Developed and documented front-end components and application features

• Technical documentation (system design, architecture, integrations)

• Test plans, test cases, and test result reports (unit, integration, system testing)

• Issue tracking and resolution logs).

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• ·10 + years Extensive experience in developing Single Page Application development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, and frameworks such as Backbone, React, Stencil.js (Web Components) as well as API integration with REST (JSON, XML) APIs.

• 10 + years’ Experience developing digital products that comply with accessibility standards and/or best practices (WCAG 2.x AA, AODA, WAI-ARIA) while optimizing accessibility features of the platform (Web, iOS, Android). 

• 10 + years’ Experience integrating secure authentication flows using OpenID Connect (OIDC) with Proof Key for Code Exchange (PKCE), including implementing authorization code flows in Single Page Applications and ensuring compliance with modern security best practices. 

Nice to Have:

• Experience with QA/UAT support, defect resolution, and root cause analysis

• Exposure to public sector or regulated environments

• Experience creating training materials and technical user guides
