About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack - Software Developer to support a major Oracle APEX/ORDS modernization initiative focused on upgrading critical enterprise applications and supporting cloud adoption strategies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting web-based applications built on the Oracle APEX platform. The role requires strong expertise in Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), Oracle database technologies, application architecture, API development, cloud technologies, and full software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.

Scope

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain web applications using Oracle APEX.

• Develop responsive and scalable applications utilizing Oracle APEX low-code development capabilities.

• Create and support RESTful APIs using Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).

• Translate technical system specifications into fully tested, production-ready applications.

• Develop detailed programming specifications and technical documentation.

Assignment Deliverables

• Oracle APEX web application development and enhancements.

• ORDS-based REST API development and integration services.

• SQL and PL/SQL database development deliverables.

• Application architecture recommendations and modernization plans.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• Application Development: Designing, developing, and implementing web applications using Oracle APEX, a low-code development platform. Proven experience in developing applications using Oracle APEX. Experience with advanced APEX features like interactive reports, charts, and dynamic actions.

• Backend Integration: Utilizing Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) to create RESTful APIs for accessing and manipulating data in the Oracle database.  Solid understanding of Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and its capabilities.

• Database Management: Working with the Oracle database, including data modeling, SQL, and PL/SQL development. Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, including SQL, PL/SQL, and data modeling.

• Cloud experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Nice to Have:

• Experience reviewing, testing, debugging, and modifying installation scripts.

• Ability to provide effective post-implementation support.

• Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions and technical reviews.
