About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack - Software Developer to support the ongoing development and enhancement of the Ontario Agricultural Soil Information System (OASIS).

The successful consultant will contribute to the design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and support of enterprise-grade cloud-based applications that manage agricultural soil information across Public sector. The solution includes a core web application built using Java and Azure technologies, alongside field data collection applications leveraging ESRI GIS technologies.

Scope

• Designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise-level full-stack applications.

• Building scalable Java/JEE solutions using Spring Boot and Angular.

• Developing and integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.

• Designing and implementing secure cloud-based solutions within Microsoft Azure.

• Developing integrations with ESRI ArcGIS Portal, Survey123, and geospatial services.

Assignment Deliverables

• Design and development of scalable full-stack Java solutions.

• Development of backend services, REST APIs, and system integrations.

• Integration with ESRI ArcGIS Portal and Survey123 solutions.

• Technical design documents, programming specifications, and implementation documentation.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• At least 1+ year of experience developing and implementing Java solutions targeting soil management systems.

• 5+ years of full-stack Java development knowledge and experience designing and delivering solutions using:

o   Java/JEE technology with Spring Boot version 2.5 or higher

o   Angular 2+

o   HTML 5

o   Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)

o   RESTful APIs

o   Databases (Azure SQL Database, Oracle, PostgreSQL)

o   Azure DevOps Pipelines

o   Good design skills to develop quality solutions

o   Integration with ESRI ArcGIS Portal and ESRI ArcGIS Survey COTS.

Nice to Have:

• Experience leveraging AI-assisted software development tools to improve quality and productivity.

• Experience developing agricultural, environmental, geospatial, or soil management solutions.
