About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversight for structured cabling, network infrastructure, telecommunications, and connectivity initiatives across complex enterprise environments.

The successful consultant will be responsible for supporting network infrastructure projects from planning and design through implementation and operational support. This role requires extensive experience with structured cabling systems, network connectivity, telecommunications infrastructure, power distribution systems, and industry standards governing network and communications environments.

Scope

• Provide technical leadership for network infrastructure and structured cabling deployments.

• Oversee configuration, build, documentation, and implementation activities for new network equipment.

• Review engineering drawings, telecommunications designs, and infrastructure documentation to ensure compliance with established standards.

• Assess and recommend telecommunications room (TR) power requirements based on equipment loads and operational requirements.

Assignment Deliverables

• Review and validate structured cabling and network infrastructure designs.

• Provide technical oversight for network equipment installation and implementation activities.

• Produce technical documentation, implementation plans, standards reviews, and risk assessments.

• Evaluate telecommunications room layouts, power requirements, and infrastructure readiness.

• Support network hardware deployment, testing, commissioning, and operational transition activities.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• 10+ years of experience in structured cabling design and installation, including both fiber optic and copper cabling systems.

• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT networking infrastructure environments.

• Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards and best practices.

• Strong understanding of:

o   Power Distribution

o   Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

o   Power Distribution Units (PDU)

o   Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data centre design and infrastructure planning.

• Experience supporting healthcare technology and network infrastructure environments.

• Experience supporting Public-Private Partnership (P3) projects.
