About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager/Leader to provide project-management leadership for large-scale, complex, high-profile and high-risk I&IT initiatives.

The successful consultant will bring extensive experience managing infrastructure development initiatives, complex integrated project and implementation plans, public-sector business cases and funding requests, competitive procurements, large project budgets, executive stakeholder relationships, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Scope

• Develop and manage integrated project plans, schedules, scope, deliverables, budgets, dependencies and resources.

• Ensure deliverables meet business requirements and are completed on time, within scope and budget.

• Lead organizational development, strategy, business planning and funding-request activities.

• Manage complex project budgets involving multiple funding channels and organizational dependencies.

• Lead and support competitive procurement and acquisition initiatives.

Assignment Deliverables

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules and integrated implementation plans.

• Manage project scope, deliverables, dependencies, milestones and stakeholder expectations.

• Monitor and forecast project costs and maintain strong fiscal control through estimates, forecasts, reconciliations and confirmation of actual expenditures.

• Develop business cases, funding requests and executive-level briefing materials.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.

• Demonstrated experience successfully managing infrastructure development projects.

• Experience with public-sector business cases, funding acquisition and competitive procurements.

• Extensive experience managing large-scale, complex and integrated project and implementation plans.

• Demonstrated experience managing substantial project budgets, including estimates, forecasts, financial controls and reconciliation.

• Candidates should clearly identify the size/value of project budgets they have managed in their resume.

• Extensive experience managing executive relationships and working directly with senior executives, including executive-level briefings.

• Extensive experience managing procurement and purchasing initiatives, including vendor management, contract administration, acquisition processes and procurement compliance.

Nice to Have:

• Experience managing large-scale innovative initiatives.

• Experience reviewing procurement processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.

• Experience managing competing priorities and resolving conflicts between project and functional areas.
