Senior Project Manager/Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager with extensive experience in leading complex, mission-critical projects within the public sector, specifically in healthcare. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in IT project management, focusing on business transformation, IT solution design, and the integration of web-based and cloud-based services. This role demands a deep understanding of public sector standards, healthcare regulations, and proven leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams.

Must Haves:

• 10+ years of project management experience leading complex, mission-critical IT projects, including business transformation and IT solution integration.

• Extensive experience with the SDLC using various methodologies (Waterfall, DevOps, Agile).

• Strong leadership, facilitation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and drive successful outcomes with stakeholders.

• Proficiency in workflow automation tools like IBM BAW.

• Experience in Risk and Vendor Management, ensuring the successful delivery of projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.

Core Skills and Experience

• Project Management Expertise:

  • 10+ years of project management experience leading large-scale, mission-critical projects or initiatives involving business transformation, IT solution design, and system integration.

  • Experience in managing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) across Waterfall, DevOps, Agile, and Iterative methodologies.

• Leadership and Team Management:

  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, including business analysts, system designers, developers, and testers.

  • Strong experience in overseeing the development, implementation, and monitoring of IT solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements.

• Business Process Transformation:

  • Expertise in applying business process re-engineering concepts to drive business improvements through cost-effective service delivery.

  • Ability to anticipate and resolve project issues, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Stakeholder Management and Communication:

  • Experience with Agile project management practices, including backlog management, sprint planning, velocity tracking, and retrospectives.

• Advanced Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Planview, Jira, or Microsoft DevOps Azure.

  • Experience with cloud technologies like MS Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and web application servers like Solaris, Red Hat, IBM WAS.

• Change Management and Risk Mitigation:

  • Experience with integrated change control processes and risk management strategies to ensure project success.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage requirements using tools like JAD sessions, User Stories, Epics, Story Maps, etc.

• Digital Health Standards:

  • Knowledge and experience with Digital Health Standards, including HL7 FHIR, and the application of these standards in healthcare IT projects.
