Position: Senior Risk / Compliance Specialists

Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.


About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking Senior Risk / Compliance Specialists to independently conduct compliance reviews of Primary Care Teams across Public Sector. The engagement will focus on expense, and procurement compliance, and requires professionals with strong experience in audit, risk management, and compliance reviews, including clear documentation and executive‑level reporting.


Scope

  • Conduct independent compliance reviews across multiple organizations

  • Assess structures, financial controls, procurement practices, and expense management

  • Provide clear, evidence‑based findings and recommendations aligned with applicable legislation, policies, and standards

  • Support Agency stakeholders with risk‑based insights and remediation guidance.


Assignment Deliverables

  • Completed compliance checklists

  • Fully documented audit and compliance working papers

  • Supporting documentation validating findings and conclusions.

  • Knowledge‑transfer materials and walkthroughs for Agency teams.


Expertise Required

Must Have:

  • 5+ years of experience conducting compliance reviews, audits, or risk assessments

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in audit, risk management, or compliance

  • Professional designation: CPA or CIA

  • Strong knowledge of audit and compliance methodologies, including IIA standards.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience conducting compliance, audit, or risk work in the health care or primary care sector

  • Familiarity with public‑sector, procurement, and expense control frameworks

  • Experience supporting or reviewing transfer payment or grants management programs.
