About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, implementation, and ongoing support of critical enterprise applications within a large public-sector technology environment.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience architecting and developing enterprise-grade applications using Microsoft technologies including ASP.NET, .NET Framework, C#, VB.NET, SQL Server, Vue.js, and Angular. This role requires a highly skilled technical professional capable of translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions while providing technical leadership and mentorship to project teams.

Scope

• Designing, developing, and implementing enhancements to mission-critical enterprise applications.

• Translating business requirements and functional specifications into tested and deployable solutions.

• Providing technical expertise related to application architecture, integration, and development best practices.

• Supporting modernization initiatives, including Agile and Azure DevOps adoption.

• Participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development.

Assignment Deliverables

• Developing and enhancing enterprise web applications and associated services.

• Implementing RESTful API services using ASP.NET Web API/REST API frameworks.

• Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting application solutions.

• Producing technical and architecture documentation in accordance with established standards.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• 10+ years of experience designing, architecting, and developing complex enterprise applications.

• Strong hands-on experience with ASP.NET, including Web API / REST API development.

• Extensive experience with .NET Framework 4.8.1, C#.NET, and VB.NET.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL Server and database-driven application development.

• Experience developing modern web applications using Angular and Vue.js.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Azure DevOps Services and Team Foundation Server (TFS).

• Experience with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).

• Knowledge of MS Sync Framework, Enterprise Library, and MS Web Services.
