Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking two Senior Software Developer with 8+ years of overall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Microsoft .NET Framework development experience to support the development of a modern cloud-based digital information system and its integration with internal and external applications.

The successful consultants will bring strong experience developing web-based B2B and B2C applications in client/server environments, along with hands-on expertise in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, XML/XSLT and related Microsoft technologies.

Scope

• Design, develop, enhance and support modern cloud-based applications and integrations.

• Develop web-based B2B and B2C solutions within client/server environments.

• Translate business requirements and functional specifications into technical designs and development solutions.

• Develop and maintain applications using Microsoft .NET and Azure technologies.

Assignment Deliverables

• Design, develop and implement components of a modern cloud-based digital information system.

• Develop integrations with internal and external applications.

• Provide ongoing application support and troubleshooting.

• Support the testing team during system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Prepare deployment packages, source code and implementation instructions for Development, UAT and Production environments.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• 8+ years of overall experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and with Microsoft .NET Framework technologies.

• Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience developing web-based B2B and B2C applications within client/server environments.

• Hands-on development experience with C#, .NET Core and ASP.NET.

• Strong web-development experience with technologies such as HTML, XML, XSLT and JavaScript.

• Strong knowledge of database systems, Microsoft SQL Server and stored procedures.

• Experience translating client requirements and functional specifications into technical designs and development solutions.

Nice to Have:

• Strong understanding of object-oriented development concepts.

• Experience with ASP.NET, MVC, AJAX, WPF, WCF, Windows Services and Web Services.

• Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, XML, XSL and XSLT.
