    The Ontario Government Client is looking for an experienced HL7 FHIR Resource to support the "Patients Before Paperwork" project, aimed at improving frontline healthcare workflows. This role requires expertise in HL7 FHIR standards, clinical terminologies, and hands-on experience with FHIR tools.

    Duration:6+ Months

    Must Haves:

    • 3+ years’ experience with HL7 FHIR, clinical terminologies (e.g., SNOMED-CT, LOINC), and their application.

    • Hands-on experience with HL7 FHIR tools (Simplifier, Validator, Forge).

    • 3+ years’ experience with JSON, XML, and pan-Canadian digital health standards.

    • Healthcare experience in acute, primary, or community care settings.

    • Strong communication, time management, and partner engagement skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Gather requirements, develop documentation, and collaborate with clinical, business, and technical teams.

    • Develop, validate, and troubleshoot HL7 FHIR artifacts.

    • Support the Digital Health Standards Program with specification development, testing, and validation.

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with HL7 FHIR Structured Data Capture (SDC).

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Ontario Health systems.

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.

    Evaluation Criteria:

    • Experience with HL7 FHIR standard design and implementation (15 points).

    • Development and maintenance of FHIR implementation guides (15 points).

    • Experience in reducing paper faxing with HL7 FHIR (20 points).

    • Proficiency with HL7 FHIR tooling (25 points).

    • Experience with digital health solutions and Ontario Health systems (25 points).

    Deliverables:

    • Confirm FHIR requirements for project streams like referrals and the Provincial Health Service Directory (PHSD).

    • Develop and maintain HL7 FHIR standards and documentation.

    • Provide status updates, knowledge transfer, and collaborate with Ontario Health experts.
