About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Specialized IT Consultant to support the design, development, integration, and implementation of enterprise-grade application and integration solutions within a complex public sector environment.

The successful consultant will provide technical leadership in API development, enterprise integration, microservices architecture, event-driven systems, security implementation, and cloud-native application development. This role requires extensive expertise with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, messaging technologies, containerized environments, and enterprise integration frameworks.

Scope

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

• Build scalable microservices and event-driven solutions within cloud-native environments.

• Design and implement integration solutions utilizing Spring Integration and Mainframe/IMS integrations.

• Develop and support enterprise messaging solutions using Azure Service Bus and related technologies.

• Implement authentication, authorization, and security frameworks including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML 2.0.

Assignment Deliverables

• Detailed technical design and specification documents for RESTful APIs.

• Secure, scalable, and maintainable Java/Spring Boot services.

• Containerized microservices with deployment configurations and infrastructure artifacts.

• Integration solutions supporting enterprise and Mainframe/IMS systems.

• Event-driven architectures leveraging Azure Service Bus and related messaging technologies.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• Extensive experience with REST API design and development, including API documentation and testing.

• Strong expertise in Java and the Java development ecosystem, including Spring Boot.

• In-depth knowledge of integration patterns and best practices, including Spring Integration and Mainframe/IMS integration.

• Hands-on experience with messaging queuing technologies, including Azure Service Bus.

• Experience designing and implementing Event-Driven Architectures.

• Experience working within containerized environments including Azure, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, and Microservices.

• Extensive experience implementing security standards and frameworks including OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SAML 2.0.

Nice to Have:

• Experience providing production support and on-call support for mission-critical applications.

• Experience with Azure Event Hub and advanced event-streaming technologies.
