Senior Systems Administrator/Operations Support Specialist

Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator / Operations Support Specialist to join their Infrastructure Operations team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in systems monitoring, administration, and support, particularly within Microsoft-based environments.

Job Description:

Must Haves:

·         3–5 years of experience with System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)

·         3–5 years of experience in Active Directory

·         3–5 years in Infrastructure support and operations

·         3–5 years of experience using monitoring tools.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of enterprise systems including tasks like SCOM deployment, integration, custom monitoring, and script automation using PowerShell. Duties include software upgrades, troubleshooting, performance tuning, SNMP deployment, and developing custom monitoring policies. This role also supports integrations with tools like OpenText OpsBridge and requires working knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). A solid understanding of Active Directory, networking components, and various monitoring environments is key to success in this role. Experience with automation tools like Ansible or Terraform is considered a plus.

This is a critical role supporting large-scale government systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
