About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support large-scale, complex public sector technology initiatives. The successful consultant will lead and execute comprehensive testing strategies within Agile/DevOps delivery environments, ensuring high-quality system performance, compliance with enterprise standards, and alignment with business objectives.

Scope

• Participate in business requirements walkthroughs and analyze business documentation (use cases, user stories, user journeys, and non-functional requirements)

• Develop and contribute to testing strategies, test plans, and test suites

• Design, create, and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications

• Manage and support Agile activities including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and collaboration with Scrum teams.

Assignment Deliverables

• Test strategies, system test plans, and test cases

• Automated test scripts and execution reports

• Defect logs and resolution tracking documentation

• Test data sets and validation reports.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• 5+ years of experience implementing and executing test strategies for web applications within Agile/DevOps environments

• Strong experience in system testing methodologies and UAT execution

• Experience validating expected vs. actual results and managing test outcomes

• Hands-on experience with SQL for database validation and analysis

• Experience working with defect tracking and problem management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, ClearQuest)

• Strong experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and testing cloud-based applications

• Exposure to security testing practices and tools (e.g., OWASP, vulnerability scanning)

• Experience working with data migration and data validation testing.
