Position: Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist
Duration: 8 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support the delivery of large-scale enterprise applications and digital services within a complex public sector environment.
The successful consultant will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing end-to-end quality assurance and testing activities across multiple initiatives. This role requires expertise in test strategy development, test planning, accessibility testing, systems integration testing, user acceptance testing, Agile and DevOps delivery methodologies, and cloud-based environments. The consultant will work closely with project managers, business analysts, developers, technical leads, and stakeholders to ensure the quality, accessibility, and reliability of delivered solutions.
Scope
Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test execution schedules.
Conduct functional, non-functional, integration, regression, performance, accessibility, and user acceptance testing.
Perform AODA compliance audits and remediation validation using industry-standard accessibility tools.
Collaborate with Agile and DevOps teams to support continuous integration and continuous delivery initiatives.
Assignment Deliverables
Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Execute system integration testing, accessibility testing, specialized testing, and user acceptance testing activities.
Conduct AODA compliance audits using tools such as AXE and WAVE and validate remediation efforts.
Create and maintain test data required for business and technical validation activities.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Demonstrated experience conducting AODA Compliance Audits and remediation validation.
Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps methodologies.
Experience creating, reviewing, and executing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure.
Extensive experience using accessibility testing tools including:
o AXE
o WAVE
Strong experience working with:
o ReadyAPI
o Web Services
o APIs
o OPA
o Java technologies
Experience working with:
o IMS
o DB2
o SQL
o Oracle databases
o UNIX environments
Experience with .NET-based applications.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of Licensing and Control System (LCS) and legacy mainframe environments.
Experience with Payment Gateway MPG/EPS Services.
Experience using mainframe tools such as TSO/SPF.
Security Clearance
