About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior UX Designer to support the design and delivery of accessible, user-centered digital services. The successful consultant will lead discovery, user research, interaction design, usability testing, design-system contributions, accessibility reviews, and stakeholder engagement activities for complex web and mobile experiences.

This role requires a strategic and hands-on UX professional capable of transforming user and business needs into intuitive, accessible, and implementation-ready digital solutions while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a complex enterprise environment.

Scope

• Plan and conduct discovery activities, user research, stakeholder interviews, usability testing, and evidence-gathering initiatives.

• Review existing research, analytics, service processes, accessibility assessments, business requirements, and technical constraints.

• Develop user journeys, task flows, service blueprints, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity responsive designs.

• Design accessible digital experiences for web and mobile platforms in accordance with AODA and applicable WCAG standards.

Assignment Deliverables

• Discovery assessments and UX findings report identifying user needs, pain points, accessibility barriers, design debt, risks, and opportunities.

• Research plans, interview guides, usability test scripts, findings report, and evidence-based design recommendations.

• User journeys, task flows, service blueprints, site maps, navigation recommendations, and information architecture documentation.

• Responsive wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity Figma designs.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• Minimum seven (7) years of professional experience in user experience, user interface, interaction, product, or service design, including senior-level responsibility for complex digital products and services.

• Extensive experience planning and conducting discovery activities, user research, stakeholder interviews, usability testing, and evidence synthesis.

• Extensive experience translating research findings into prioritized, actionable design recommendations.

• Extensive experience creating user journeys, task flows, service blueprints, information architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and responsive high-fidelity designs.

• Advanced proficiency with Figma, including components, variants, libraries, prototyping, documentation, file organization, and developer handoff.

• Experience designing accessible digital experiences in compliance with AODA and applicable WCAG standards.

Nice to Have:

• Experience delivering digital services within municipal, broader public-sector, or regulated environments.

• Experience with content design, search optimization, analytics, and service performance measurement.

• Experience coaching, mentoring, and providing knowledge transfer to design practitioners and multidisciplinary teams.
