Project Engineer Transport & Handling equipment - Life Sciences - M/F/X

About the role

For a leading engineering site in Puurs, we are seeking a Project Engineer specializing in Transport and Handling Equipment. This role is integral to the automation and enhancement of logistics processes, supporting the delivery of high-quality injectable pharmaceuticals.

As our clients site expands, there is a growing need to evolve surrounding processes for material supply to production departments, enhancing efficiency and establishing just-in-time delivery systems. The Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in automating processes, from robotization of manual tasks to optimizing pallet transport and vial handling.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor project plans for multiple equipment packages
• Identify potential risks related to safety, breakdowns, and operability
• Manage stakeholder relationships across various departments
• Report progress to project teams and management at regular intervals
• Draft equipment specifications and coordinate with suppliers
• Serve as the primary contact for equipment suppliers
• Align production department needs with project objectives
• Organize and attend equipment Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)
• Oversee installation, testing, verification, and commissioning of equipment
• Prepare and deliver necessary project documentation

About you

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Bioengineering, or equivalent
• A first experience in a related role is necessary
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English languages is mandatory
• Excellent organizational, communication and documentation skills
• Teamplayer
• Knowledge of robotics and automation is a plus
